Korrect Family | {Hendersonville Gallatin Family Photographer}

One of the best parts of my job is getting to know a family.  I’ve been photographing these girls since big sister was 2, I believe.  They are old enough now that they remember me, and I get to get hugs as soon as I see them.  Not only does it make me happy, but I think it makes our sessions go so smoothly.  Mom’s only request for their session was a vintage truck.  My connections to a vintage truck are slim to none, so when I found a new location that has one on property, I knew we’d have to check it out.  Thanks K family for being willing to try out a new spot and explore with me.  I hope these pictures are everything you imagined!Shannon Payne Photography | Nashville Childrens Photography StudioShannon Payne Photography | Nashville Childrens Photography StudioShannon Payne Photography | Nashville Childrens Photography Studio

Harper | {Nashville Brentwood Children Photographer}

Two year olds are pretty awesome.  They are testing their limits, growing independence, exploring the world around them, and coming into their own little personalities.  All of these little traits can combine to make a really difficult photo session.  I plan a little differently for two year old sessions.  I like to make their sessions fun and all about them.  That way they have no clue that they are at a “photo shoot”, and they can be themselves and have fun.  Harper loves books.  Her mommy sent me some ideas for her photo session, and as soon as I saw them, I knew we were going to have to go to a bookstore.  Ms. B’s Used Books on Main Street in Hendersonville, made the perfect backdrop for Harper’s session.  And let me tell you, she was in absolute heaven.  I loved listening to all of her little thoughts and watching her explore.  Putting her in her element let her real personality shine.

Family Snow Day | {Nashville Hendersonville Family Photographer}

This amazing session is the result of a quick Facebook post about snow sessions in my backyard.  Amy sent me a text asking if I was serious, and I wanted to shout back “OF COURSE!!!”  She pulled together outfits for 5, layered up 3 kiddos, and headed over to my house, for what I think is a pretty awesome little session.  We were outside for less than 10 minutes and got a full session’s worth of pictures.  This two boys were SO cooperative, and they are such a sweet, beautiful, and photogenic little family.  I absolutely love each and every one of these.Shannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Family PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Family PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Family PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Family PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Family PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Family PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Child PhotographerGallatin Middle TN Family Photographer

Magic in the Snow | {Nashville Child Photographer}

Last week, it snowed in TN, and when I say snowed, it was probably the best snow we had in years.  My backyard was begging me for snow pictures, and since my boys were too busy sledding, I knew I’d had to find clients to get out there.  I know Kat loved Froze, specifically Elsa.  She had a dog named Elsa!  So we had the perfect setting for some magical pictures.  When she was getting dressed, she insisted that she didn’t need a long sleeve shirt or boots, because Elsa will stay warm.  Poor thing discovered that Elsa may have some magic that little girls don’t possess, because when her coat came off, she froze up!  These are some of my favorites from the 5 minutes that we spend outside.  Thanks for being a little trooper, Kat!Shannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Child PhotographerShannon Payne Photography | Nashville TN Child PhotographerBrentwood Franklin Child Photographer
