The Allsup Family | Nashville TN Family Photographer

I love comfort. Pajama pants, comfort food, warm blankets, a fire… You get the point. I tend to work in my comfort zone as well. Not necessarily because I’m scared of change, but I feel like I have my “look”, and I want my work to be consistent. I love that people know what to expect when they have a session with me. So when I was planning my session with the Allsup family, I knew I was stepping a bit from that comfort zone. First of all, we were including senior pictures in their family session. We also were including the pedestrian bridge in Nashville in the morning. I’ve always wanted to use the bridge for a session but haven’t gotten around to it. I have also planned to use it late afternoon, not in the morning. So I admit, I was a bit worried about the lighting.

As soon as I met this family and started clicking away, I knew that I made a good choice breaking away from my comfort zone. They haven’t had official family portraits taken since their boys were my boys’ ages, and everyone was really excited about the session. Even the boys, can you believe it!?! The bridge turned out great, and we even decided to go to a different part of downtown where I had never been. It was a beautiful day, and we all had fun looking for new locations as we walked around. This was such a great family to work with, and I am so excited for them to see their sneaks. Thanks A Fam!
