AvaClaire came to the studio last week all the way from Memphis. I haven’t seen her mommy in years, and it was so nice catching up with her. I am so thankful that she chose me to photograph this special time. (She is the youngest of 2 boys. Are my clients trying to tell me something???) She was my first newborn in the studio, and she did absolutely amazing. That girl did not make a peep and let us move from pose to pose seamlessly. Isn’t she the most beautiful little thing? I bragged that she was one of my top 3 little girls. It seems like my girls have been the best sleepers lately. I think my next newborn is a boy, we’ll see if he can do better. 🙂
Speaking of the studio, it is so nice having my babies come to me. I know it’s convenient getting to stay at home, but there are definitely benefits of a studio newborn session over a home session. In the studio, you have access to ALL of my props. I also have 2 shooting spaces, so we can do blanket shots in one room and basket shots in another. It makes the transition so much easier. The car ride also helps baby fall asleep. AvaClaire was asleep in the car when she arrived, and stayed fast asleep during her entire session.
