Styled Maternity Session | Hendersonville TN

I can’t tell you how much I love this styled maternity session. This precious family is adding baby #5, yes 5, to their home. And guess what? I have photographed each and every one of their babies. I have captured every one of their milestones from newborn to first birthday and beyond. I can’t tell you what an amazing honor that is as a photographer! We did the math and realized that this was our 19th session together!

When we first started planning their styled maternity session, I sent Darci a few ideas and several links to some of my favorite looks and websites. She then scheduled her hair and makeup with one of my faves. Kelly Valente with Make Me Blush Makeup Artistry is just amazing. She is fabulous at bringing out your best. So mom and the girls had a fun afternoon of prep for their session. The girls had their hair curled and said the felt like princesses! When they stepped out of the car, I new our session would be amazing!

And… can we talk about Mom’s dress? Her gown from Pink Blush looked like it was made for her! She brought a second outfit, and I wouldn’t let her put it on! I just knew the dress, the colors, this field, and the light would be magical.

Before we finished our session, I knew we had to get some couple pictures. I know in all 19 of our sessions together, that we had never gotten any pictures with just mom and dad. Here’s what Darci had to say about her maternity session, “When we found out we were expecting our fifth and final baby I knew I wanted to do maternity photos with all of our kiddos. My girls and I had so much fun getting beautiful with Kelly. Rosie, our second daughter, kept telling me she looked like an angel after she was ready. Heading into photos I was not 100% sold on how fitted my dress was so I had brought a sweater to wear over it as well as a 2nd outfit. Kelly and Shannon both were adamant that I scrap the sweater and backup outfit, and after seeing the photos I am so glad I listened to them! I may have been melting in the TN heat but they both made me feel gorgeous. I love that I was able to take photos with each of my babies as well as group shots, and for the first time since our wedding I got a photo of just my husband and I!”
