I have been keeping a BIG secret, and I can finally share it with everyone!
I am officially opening a studio this month! This has become a huge project over the summer. It’s caused a lot of stress but even more excitement! So let me tell you a little about it.
SPP will be moving into a cute little house in the heart of Hendersonville, TN. It’s in a charming grey cottage with yellow shutters. Inside you’ll find a sitting area and office for meeting with clients. After each session, clients will be able to meet me at the studio for an ordering session and to view all of my fabulous products. There’s even a little area for the kids to play while we chat.
The walls will be filled with pictures, but until they are ordered, here’s a little sneak peak.
There are two natural light shooting areas. I will use them primarily for newborn sessions, but I’ll also be photographing babies there – especially in the winter months. This my friends is what sold me. I am in love with this room. You may notice it from this session.
There’s also a huge workspace. Do you know what that means? No more packaging products on the floor in my house. No worries of little fingers getting a hold of a canvas or dogs drooling on a package. I’m pretty excited about little things like that!
So what does this mean for SPP?
I am still an on-location photographer. I will still have outdoor sessions. I will be able to focus more on newborns and babies, some of my favorite little clients. Newborn clients will be able to come to the studio for their sessions. They will have my huge assortment of newborn props right in front of them to choose from for their session. For my baby sessions in the winter, we won’t have to worry about temperature. We’ll have the warm, cozy studio available to us. I will be sharing the studio with two other local photographers, Kristen Weigel and Shannon Watson. The name of the studio is Snap Studios because we are sharing the space, but we are still our own businesses. We each specialize in different age groups and will be happy to make referrals if we can’t accommodate a client’s needs. I am so excited to work with these great ladies, and I am even more excited to share this space with all of my clients. We will be having an Open House at the end of August so that everyone can stop by and visit. I’ll announce the date soon.
This is awesome Shannon. So happy for you!!!! Can’t wait to have another session with you. 🙂
