When clients book their outdoor maternity photography sessions with me, I send a guide to help prepare for their session. Clothing is one of the most important choices when planning your session. Michelle chose a white maxi dress, and she looked beautiful in it. Maxi dresses are my all time favorites for maternity sessions. They tend to hug your bump just perfectly. If you are planning your session, I recommend looking at Free People and Pink Blush, you can even catch some great finds at Old Navy or Target. The nice thing about maxi dresses is that they don’t always have to be maternity. If you buy a size up, you can usually make a non maternity dress work too!

Big brother wasn’t quite ready to warm up to me right away, so he got lots of snuggle time with mommy. My goal in your photo session is not to catch those stiff “cheese” smiles. Instead, we spend our sessions playing, loving, and snuggling. That’s what captures those true emotions. Even though it’s mommy’s maternity session, this little guy also has a big role. He’s not going to be the only baby much longer! It’s extra special spending one last session focusing on him.
