Scheduling Your Family’s Photo Session

I take on a very limited number of family photography sessions each month. I recommend booking your session 3-4 months in advance. All family sessions take place outdoors in the Hendersonville area 1-2 hours before sunset. My favorite locations are sun-drenched fields.  Family sessions are scheduled for April – to November.

Planning Your Photo Session

Many factors come into planning an outdoor family session. Location and clothing are the two most important. I choose locations based on seasons and lighting. Clothing is also important. I do not recommend matching outfits or everyone wearing the same color. I love mismatched and coordinating colors, different textures, and layers. I also want you to be comfortable during your session. You may be running through a field or lying down on a quilt. You may be swinging the baby or playing Ring Around the Rosie with your preschooler. Family sessions are fun and laid back. If you aren’t comfortable in your clothing, we won’t get natural expressions from you. I suggest visiting my What to Wear Guide for more suggestions on coordinating family outfits.
