Sparkle Mini Sessions are my favorite glitter mini sessions of the year — a magical little-girl photo experience that brings all the sparkly, twirly fun into my Hendersonville studio.

One of the best parts of my job is getting to let my girly side out. As a boy mom, my days were filled with dirt, bugs, Nerf guns, and sports. So getting to play with all the sparkly things is a treat for me!

Sparkle Mini Sessions embrace all of the girly things I love — dressing up, sparkles, bows, and lace. There’s something special about seeing a little girl’s excitement during these sessions. The twirls, the giggles, the way their entire face lights up when they feel beautiful.

What Are Sparkle Mini Sessions?

Sparkle Minis are short, styled photo sessions held at my Hendersonville studio in late January and early February. They’re full of movement, fun, and whimsy — perfect for little girls who want to dance, toss glitter, twirl, and feel like the star of their very own photoshoot.

I’ve been a Nashville children’s photographer for over 15 years, and Sparkle Minis have quickly become one of the most loved specialty sessions I offer. This will be my third year creating these glitter-filled experiences, and each year I refine them to be even more magical for both parents and kids.

These aren’t your average mini sessions. They’re a luxury, boutique experience designed to make children feel special from the moment they walk in the door.

Nashville Children’s Photographer: The Sparkle Mini Experience

Expect fun, sparkles, and twirls.

The session is fun and full of movement to keep your child engaged and smiling naturally. You will be welcomed to the studio with a cute sign and personalized sparkle cookies from our favorite bakery: The Rolling Pin.

Then we will head to the Client Closet to pick out your child’s dress and accessories. This is my favorite part! Your little one gets to choose from a curated selection of Tutu du Monde dresses and sparkly accessories — all included with your session. These dresses photograph beautifully and instantly elevate the entire experience.

Think soft pastels, tulle layers, shimmer, sequins, and delicate details that make her feel magical. A final twirl in front of our full length mirror, and then it’s time for the camera!

We will play her favorite music and include glitter toss moments. These moments create beautiful, timeless images filled with personality.

What to Wear & How to Prepare

You don’t need to buy a single thing.

Your session includes:

• Tutu du Monde dresses
• Sparkly accessories
• Bows and headbands

All you need to do is arrive a few minutes early and bring your happy, sparkly girl. I’ll take care of the rest — poses, glitter, and cleanup included.

For best results, schedule her session around nap time, offer a small snack beforehand, and bring her hairbrush and hair rubber bands if needed.

Before our session, I will ask for your child’s dress size, name, and favorite music so that we can personalize your experience.

What age is best for Sparkle Minis?

Sparkle Minis are ideal for children ages 2 and up. At this age, little ones can safely participate in glitter toss moments and enjoy the dress-up experience. If your child loves twirling, dancing, or dressing up, she’ll be right at home.

Do you provide the dresses and accessories?

Yes! Your session includes access to my Tutu du Monde Client Closet, filled with beautiful dresses, bows, sparkly accessories, and soft, feminine colors that photograph perfectly. There’s no need to shop or bring anything unless your child has a favorite bow or hair clip. I currently have sizes 18 months – 8 years stocked in the studio.

Can siblings join in the session?

Absolutely! Brothers and sisters are welcome to join part of the session.
Brothers can choose a simple, neutral shirt from my Client Closet so everything stays cohesive. Including siblings always makes for sweet, timeless memories.

How long does a Sparkle Mini Session last?

Sparkle Minis are short and fun — typically 15–20 minutes. That’s the perfect window for keeping children engaged, excited, and happy without feeling overwhelmed.

Is the glitter safe and easy to clean?

Yes! We use large confetti to give us the sparkle look without the mess and handle all the cleanup. Your child gets to enjoy the magic, and you don’t have to worry about sweeping sparkles out of your car for six months. Everything stays contained in the studio.

What should I do to prepare my child?

Keep it simple:

• Make sure she’s fed and rested
• Bring a drink or a small snack
• Let her know she’ll get to dress up, twirl, and throw glitter
  I’ll take care of the rest — poses, music, styling, and all the fun moments.

Do you offer these sessions year-round?

Sparkle Minis are offered once a year, usually in late January and early February. This will be my third year offering these sessions, and they sell out quickly each season. If you want a spot, joining the waitlist is the best way to guarantee early access.
