Two year olds are pretty awesome. They are testing their limits, growing independence, exploring the world around them, and coming into their own little personalities. All of these little traits can combine to make a really difficult photo session. I plan a little differently for two year old sessions. I like to make their sessions fun and all about them. That way they have no clue that they are at a “photo shoot”, and they can be themselves and have fun. Harper loves books. Her mommy sent me some ideas for her photo session, and as soon as I saw them, I knew we were going to have to go to a bookstore. Ms. B’s Used Books on Main Street in Hendersonville, made the perfect backdrop for Harper’s session. And let me tell you, she was in absolute heaven. I loved listening to all of her little thoughts and watching her explore. Putting her in her element let her real personality shine.
This is probably my most favorite picture from the day. Pure joy.
